Kathleen Kelly Exhibition: "AquaTerra"
February 2nd through April 25th, 2001

Kathleen KellyBlue Circle Studio is pleased to present the work of Kathleen Kelly, a Connecticut artist who is best known for subtle organic paintings that capture the essence of water and earth. Kelly uses a variety of media and processes to achieve her desired effect, including, at times, spraying turpentine directly onto a canvas or rubbing down a painting to reveal stains from underpainting. Kelly's work has been exhibited in a variety of galleries and universities around the country, and her paintings have been featured in Connecticut Magazine, the Hartford Courant, Art & Antiques, and elsewhere. Kelly was also recently interviewed on the "Women in Business" TV show, which featured several of her paintings.
